Introduction to the Appalachian Trail.

Updated: Jan 12, 2022

How do you get kids to trade their electronics for a day of hiking and wildlife adventures?

A challenge nonetheless but it was proven possible. A bit of trail history and a disclosure that they were hiking a small section of a popular but quiet significant trail as the Appalachian Trail got them hyped to explore.

They were troopers climbing the steps even though it took plenty coaxing of "we almost there." However, when that view opened up and the tower standing majestically, their breaths were taken away, it brought so many joyful squeals and sighs of relief and brighten smiles. The reviews were brutally honest, but it was worthwhile. The memory that remains is, "I loved the view at the end and a hope to do it again."

Tristate Hikers Kids edition took on Bear Mountain and it was an amazing experience.

Thanks to all the parents that trusted us with their little ones.
